Chip and Joanna Hop on Target

Target remains to evolve as their consumer wants and needs change. Target is spending around $7 billion dollars over the next three years to remodel their system from top-to-bottom meaning remodeling stores, improving the supply chain, and dropping/removing certain brands sold in stores. Target stores such as the one in Bloomington, IL has already started the transformation by moving their apparel items closer to the entrance of the store. The remodel in stores hopes to bring in more consumers who want to shop for apparel.

With news of trying to appeal to new consumers and wanting to switch up brands, as of November 5 Target will carry Fixer Upper's Chip and Joanna Gaine's home goods line! This brings exciting news and will definitely bring more buyers into centers. The Gaines are extremely popular on the HGTV network. Not only will this bring in more customers due to the celebrity endorsement that Chip and Joanna bring but it allows for Target to be noticed as a brand that carries popular and trendy items.

Consumers seem to be very excited to share pictures with the hashtag #hearthandhand which is the name of their home goods brand. Many consumers couldn't help but take a peak inside, while others shared their concern on excessive love for Target. Without a doubt, Target will surely benefit from working with Chip and Joanna.
